Post 139: Sad Chinese New Year

7th February 2011, my 5th uncle house at Klang cought by fire. Whole house had burn down to ashes and left nothing for the family.

My father rush to the scene when it happen and he try to assist as much as possible. After an incident happened to my aunt back years ago, this incident does scare the hell out of everyone.

My younger cousin was still sleepting that time and thanks to neighbour effort, keep shouting his name to wake him up and save him out of the fire. It was too late when he tried to go in the house and try to save back some valueble.

I was on my way back to PJ from Kelantan when this incident happen. Nothing much to search at this place anymore but try to help them look for new place and help out as much as possible.

hiah..... sad to see this happen, especially during festive season......good to know that everyone is safe and unharm.

Post 138: Modesliga 1st Season Finale Session

22nd January 2011 - final session for 1st Season Modesliga Badminton League. It was really great experience where we are able to compete and learn from various kind of players. From beginning of the season, me and my teamate had consistantly discussed how we should improve our games, what we can do to play better and etc. There is so many discussion on the games and it does motivate everyone to play better.

We give in 100% of our games and we hope to become competitive. I remember games before Modesliga where we are unable to adjust our games well during friendly matches with others. Overall we did not control the match and subsequenly we loss confidence to continue challenge others.

Thanks to Teddy, organiser for Modesliga Badminton League, we have the platform to try anything we've discussed about. No matter what is the result, we want to try it out and see if we can do it better. I am very proud to say that we are standing at 3rd place for 1st season Modesliga Badminton League, thanks to effort from every players.

My teamate: Hong, Andrew, Terrence, Lai, Shannon, Me, Michael, Wong, Ryan, Ping and Wai

This will be Teddy, thanks for his continuous effort and well organised leadership, Modesliga manage to end its 1st season smoothly. Of course there are ups and downs during these period of time, but thanks to his leadership, all issue was clear and handled properly. Hat up for you Bro!!!

Next season is expected to commence on either March or April and it is getting more interesting. All team are require to have 1 pair of mix double among 5 pairs of double which mean, I need to start looking for girls into my team. Challenges has started before the league start.... hahahaha...so girls, please call me ya!!!

Recap What I remember most on 2010:
1. My prince racket is patah!!!!

it was 1 of my favourite racket. It is very hard to get the best suite racket for myself and when it is actually there, it only stay for very short period.

2. Penang Trip

The last time I am in Penang is way way long ago, I can't even remember when already. However, can still remember some of the old places in Penang. Manage to catch up with old friends and chit chat alot and rest alot too during these 3 days 2 nights there.

3. Gathering

This year is really a gathering year for me. I have ex-colleague gathering (Feruni), Primary schoolmate gatering, 6E class Primary Gathering, Form 6 classmate gathering, SMDJ gathering & etc. Is it everyone is getting older now so to organise more gathering? hahaha....

Every gathering is fun and memorable. It always recap back something you've forgotten. Recall back what you were before... haha....fun...

4. Euro Deli biggest burget challenge

Yes!!! I took the challenge and ...... I FAIL, price tag at RM 100++ but I tried.... trust me, it is a very huge burger!!!!!!

It is really a good surprise yet confuse award when I saw the trophy above the piano. Award which awarded to my parents for the Best Goreng Pisang: Goreng Pisang SS2... :D

Parents had been in this business since I was 5-6 years old. Started at SS 2/1, (near Taman Megah junction); then shift to SS 2 commercial area, which still open till now; another store at USJ 2 now which operate by my dad now.

It feels good to know family business and parents effort is being recognise sometime... :D

老爸就是老爸嘛，老样子，一样很喜欢说话，说了很多：故事，道理，经验，做人的道理。。。很多很多。。。

爸以开始老了。身体终是不很健康。。。:(

Date: 13th November 2010, Melvin & Audrey big day!!!

These are the brothers: Me, Ben Lee, Wen Feng, Jack Chia and Alex. :D

and these are the sister: Mei Yoke, Celein, Lydia, Yee Wei & Tian Huey

We depart from Melvin's place about 1030am. Reaching Audrey's place about 11 am. Traffic was good and the weather is perfect. Our ultimate mission: To get Audrey back to Melvin's place at all cost!!! :P

As usual, Audrey's sister will not let us in without a good fight. Alex take up the 1st challenge performing motor helmet style lion dancing. It was really funny!!!

Ultimate goal is to dance it to the main door, climb up the steel door and finish the hanging banana. OK la, this was the easy part.

Looking at us complete the challenge without any challenge, we are not require to wear con shape duplicate bra.

We need to wear it properly to continue with other challenges. Fine, as brothers, no complain, just wear it.

Then we need to help Melvin to write chinese. Melvin is English ed during younger time, however, Melvin complete it without a sweat too. He wrote exactly what is necessary and finish it in tyle!!!

Next is the ultimate challenge. Eating and drinking. We are served with half cook mee goreng, sour, sweet, bitter and spicy drink. Chinese custom loves it!! I tried the sour drink, sigh, it was really sour!!!

Last we sing at Audrey's room, Jacky Chueng's song as finale and mission accomplished.haha...

It was a fun day for me. To able to help being as Brother for Melvin and also catch up with all ex colleague friends.

Congratualation to both, Melvin and Audrey. Happy Forever.... !!!

October 23rd 2010. It was totally unexpected, me, Tun Tzen and Tun Suen was ask to become 'brother' for our beloved cousin. As mention, we did not expect to be brother, so we never get prepare for it. Early morning wake up, dress up handsomely and drive car to Awana Kijal.....blur blur.....

Once we've arrived at Awana Kijal Apartment, me and my cousin start to feel something is not right. 1st, there is only 1 guy as 'brother' during the entire morning. 2nd, there is alot of 'sister' le!!! - Somebody gonna get hurt real bad....somebody???

1st, we need to peal out orange skin and make ' I LOVE YOU' word on the floor. My finger almost cramp as they are getting those hard, thick orange skin for us. It was torturing enough for my finger, but for you, cousin Seng, I take the challenge!!!

2nd, 10 push up, ok la, this is not that tough as all my cousin are very fit, except me.... :P

3rd, wasabi chili padi biscuit!!! It's already getting to the wrong side since beginning. Look at the combination, Wasabi + Chili Padi on biscuit???!!!!! Sorry, is not my favourite food.....especially for breakfast....

Last, limbo dance at staitcase. Of course we cheat around with it and everyone pass through it without sweat.... hahahahaha

Though is an unexpected event, but it was pretty fun morning la....hahaha.....congrate cousin Seng!!!

Post 124: Al-win Badminton Team

Honest!!! I suppose to think of a name for our group when joining Modesliga Badminton League but I could not think of any good name.... Last minute on our 1st game, I decided to name it as Al-win team...something like All Win...sound good??!!! hahaha

Anyway, so far everything is good. We have 1 win (4-1) and 1 lost (1-4). Not a bad result.

Anyone who follow badminton game closely will notice this brand, Li Ning. Thanks to China badminton team where they consistently winning all major tournament, Li Ning brand does catch my attention.

Li Ning rackets is not cheap at all. From what I observe, the cheapest price racket I found is still above RM 200. Highest goes to RM 1095. With no trial of the racket, it is difficult to decide to get one for good. Thanks to Taman Megah Badminton court, they organise a demo day for the racket at Taman Megah. I took the opportunity and hope to get some good feeling about it's racket.

Most of the series is put on the table for trial. Without any delay, I immediately register myself and seek for advice which series suite my games most. The organiser introduce few series and I have the opportunity to trial it on the floor with my friends, Ah Lai and Ah Wong.

Flame F 390 & Flame F 380 - feels good, slightly heavier on the head but still maintain good response for defense.

I also tried 3D Braid Powertec 300B which feels very good as well, of course the $$$ sign is also very high up there!!!

Overall, Li Ning racket is much better then I expected. Before this demo trial, I also feel it's racket is overprice and is not worth buying, especially when it is made of China. However, after this trial, I would say I will really consider getting one for try.

Further to it, there is a 7 days trial period with deposit program running at Taman Megah Badminton outlet. So, there is still chance for change if it does not suite me well.

Let's see how it turns out later....

Last night was the 1st Modesliga Badminton League games with Atrivedos. Not a bad start for us. We have a 4-1 win over our opponent. Thanks to this guys, we able to get it done.

Let's hope this momentum continue for next match...next match is on 30th October.

Post 120: SMDJ 1996 Graduate Gathering

Her name is Jennifer Choo, my SMDJ school mate... if I remember correctly, we were classmate when Form 2. Anyway, thanks to her effort and coordination, I have the opportunity to meet up alot of our school mate back during 2ndary school.

Gathering venue is set at Kissaten, Jaya One, Petaling Jaya. Food served is pretty good and there is quite alot of variety as well.

Thanks Kai Reen, Vicky and Pooi San, all are photograher lovers, we make so much noise around our table to snap photo....It was really fun considering everyone was in into taking various post of photo.

I had tonnes of fun that night. Refreshing alot of story during school time, update from everyone and laugh alot too. Great time, fun friends and good food....what more to ask for...!!!

While doing the counting, it is almost 14 years now since we graduate from SMDJ 1996. Most of us know each other during school time but hardly keep in touch after graduate from highschool. This reunion does bring back alot of good memories and sure enough it refresh my high school memories...haha.... Old already, sometime need to boost like this kind of gathering to recall back... hahahahahaha!!!!

Modesliga Badminton League start on 16th October 2010 at Sunway South Quay. Me and my badminton gang have confirmed joining this league. Before the league kick start, Teddy, organiser of the league, arrange a small gathering among team captain to meet up. It was a fun discussion and sharing during this gathering. Everyone here are badminton lovers and everyone are willing to support this league to make it a succes. Really looking forward to play with these guys here....

这个星期真的超累。。。早起，上课，迟回家。晚上还带着疲累得身体去运动，打羽球。早上630就的起身，准备上班。因为不想堵车上班，只好早点到，免得迟到。上课是因为了解公司，但是从早上9点到晚上6点，一直不断的坐着，听着，看着。。。原来也是个折磨。。。回家路途也觉得想睡。晚上本来应该休息，但是又想和朋友打打羽球。有时真的希望能流一身汗，动动身体。。。感觉也比较爽。。。回家得冲凉，冲凉后又等干。。。拖着托着，又是半夜了。。。明天又重新再来。。。看看着里，一张照片都没有，就知道我没力去找了哈哈哈。。。希望下星期会好点吧。。。

I was lucky....Lucky that friends are free on 9th September 2010 to gather around...

It was those kind of feeling again when you are getting older....friends become lesser...lesser does not mean they are not your friend anymore, but they are not available anymore for meeting up. Works, kids, family & etc, all this commitment...Probably this is the way of life...

As I said, I was lucky. When I started to make calls, most of them are available on 9th September. Most of the time, it will not fit everyone, timing is the most difficult things to work on, especially when organising gathering...

Slowly, bit by bit, I manage to get about 10++ to meet up on the same night on the same place. Thanks for Hou Cher coordination, he manage to get the BBQ facilities at his condominium in Sterling. It is more convenience la...

We started about 8+pm. I reach there about 730pm tried to get things ready before everyone is there...By 8pm, more and more people coming in and the chit chat starts...

I swear I never knew Andy hate eat chicken breast!!!! I purposely arrange chicken breast as I though it will be more easier to BBQ and it's cook quicker as compare with chicken wing...after knowing him for almost 15 years.... hiah, sad case...Wye Luon prepare drinks for everyone. He bought a bottle of Vodka that night and share it. Taste great. Wonder it will be better if the Vodka was inside mixing???!!!!

It was great to able meet up again with everyone though is not everyone. We hang out, talk, alot of questioning and alot of answering... It was those moments where everyone trying to catch up with everyone, something like updating everyone 'database', hahaha...

Post 113: When Instinct Become True

I already have the feeling, my Prince racquet will patah soon. Don't know why I will have this feeling, but today, it become true...

I accidentally hit it on my leg and the next time I see my racquet, it had broken. My leg is ok, no pain at all, probably is because of muscle, but knowing I will not able to play this racquet again makes me sad...hiah....

This is one of my favourite racquet so far and it is very difficult to search back another one of this again. I had try visit few badminton racquet shop: Puchong, Kota Damansara, Taman Megah, Jalan Breakfields & etc...still unable to search back the exact racquet.

Post 111: BBQ Gathering

Last week me and few of my Form 6 gang manage to get some time together meeting up at HanWen's place. I suggest BBQ for this time as I tend to get bored with steamboat lately. Everywhere also can see steamboat restaurant. Look at Sunway Mentari Business Park. There is at least 10 different kind of steaboat restaurant in 1 commercial area. haha

Thanks to HanWen effort, he bough everything needed for the BBQ: Chicken Wing, Pork, Lamb Sausage & etc...Aney brought in 2-3 bottles of red wine...Swee also bring another bottle of red wine...me, I brough, of course, my mum specialty goreng pisang, kuih bakul and many other snack for everyone. I also marinate small partion of seafood with Chinese White Wine to BBQ it...taste fantastic to me!!! haha

I use to BBQ when I was very much younger. Every party during secondary school surely will be BBQ. We cook until we sweat crazy and whole body smell like smoke dust. Those day to Kao Liu, we also cook nicely for the girls and try to make them happy. Girls are just there to eat...no need to get sweat!!! hahahahahaha....

It is a memorable hang out day and glad most of them manage to make it. Just for the record, attendance are:

Post 110: Badminton League

Things seem to get more interesting lately with badminton. I was asked by Ah Juung earlier whether interested to join a badminton league for 2-3 months.

Surely I am interested, especially the commitment is not that long, 2-3 months, probably is for 10-12 matches for a league. Furthermore, it does not cost much, I mean it might cost me RM 10/match. I get to play with different players, playing under different partner, and enjoying different atmosphere.

I'm still not sure what is the prize will be but it is not the prize that I am targeting. I want to able to play more and improve my game better. I hope I can get it with this league. I believe, at certain time, given certain preasure, improvement could be expect as the focus is there and learning can be absorb more properly.

First meeting is for training and it is targeted at 12th September. I will write more again once I get to know more about it.

Anyone interested to form a team with minumu 12 person for the league let me know. I could help to arrange if necessary.

Earlier this month, Fern Fern invited to join her for a cocktail + Pot Luck gathering in Gorman's place, Casa Tropicana. Obviously knowing my alcohol capacity, I'm there more for the Pot Luck instead.

Gorman's place have a wide selection of cocktail, whisky, wine, Chivas...different kind of alcohol. Thanks to Ting Song, he is our bar tender that night and mix cocktail for us...

It was a fun night. Bii Chau was tricking everyone with a 12' penis story. I almost get caught. We were also "studying" Moon's FB about Sexpo Exhibition, amaze by how open minded of the South African public for Sexpo Exhibition.

We were relook back into our primary school photo and out of expectation, we found this photo from Fern's album. We re-make that photo again this year...similar??

We laugh alot, eat alot and drink alot too.... really pening after requesting strong drink from Ting Song.haha

Post 108: Yuk Chai 90's - 6E Classmate

This is my primary school photo taken on 1990. To be honest, I can't remember all thier names, and some faces, I really having hard to to recall too...is way too long to remember everyone. Back then, I was only 75 kg also...hiah...

This year, 2010, will be the first ever reunion for our classmate, Yuk Chai 1990's -6E Class. Roy Mok (莫海量）suggested Marche in The Curve. The response was really encouraging, considering some friends we have not meet up for past 20 years....sigh, is 20 years ago!!!

June Pang (彭丽珠)，Sharon Shai (蔡沁娓), me lo, Donna Ang Pooi San (洪佩珊), Roy Ng (伍振光) and Roy Mok (莫海量). Hope we can get more on next round...

Food here is ok but it is rather expensive, considering the portion given. Chicken Chop served is only with Chicken Chop and nothing else, no side dishes...it is not cheap...

Though I get hungry easily and eat alot too, but today, is not about food or reviewing how is the restaurant...

It is about these friends I had for the past 20 years and now everyone is trying to make an effort to reunion back and catch back again.

We chat alot that night. Chin Kong was trying to remember who is June Pang (haha)...Roy Mok, as usual, keep recalling all the funny story we had when we were classmate, it does refresh back all the funny memories I had. I don't know how he manage to remember so much!!!

Though it is a small group but I feel it is a great start. Looking back into the response from Facebook, next reunion should able to grow bigger...

is been 20 years now since we were classmate....20 years!!! 20 years long years!!!!!....

Post 107: Crazy Big Burger!!!

On one blur day, Chia Yaw call me and tell me about food challenge from Euro Deli. Of course, when talk about food, and is FREE...it always interest me!! A brief introduction on Euro Deli. It is famous with its sausages and ham. They have various type taste for it and it taste delicious.

The challenge is to eat the burger for free if anyone can finish it within 45 minutes. Understand from the restaurant manager, "finish" the burger meaning really finish every bite of the burger. There cannot be any left over of vegi, shreaded bread, or meat on plate with 45 minutes. If anyone finish it, this burger is free, FOC!!! however, if it is not, it will have a price tag of RM 88++ (which amount to almost RM 100)

Chia Yaw surrender when he see the leaflet of the challenge. This burger weigth at 3kg, 7.5 times bigger then normal burger, full with cheese and vegi.

Having said so, he still insist to try to eat the burger, on normal portion... haha

After a long wait of 45 minutes for preparing my burger, it is time to "start my engine"

When the burger is served, restaurant crowd turns all their attention to the burger. As for me, I was feeling pretty confidence when it served because I was thinking, " It not that big only wat"...as what I mention earlier on this blog, I was blur.....

It is so true that this burger is 7.5 times more then ordinary burger. It is such fullfil burger with all kind of ingredient.

Height of 3/4 of a normal fork.

Burger meat at almost 2 inch thick.

To even want to start eating this burger is a challenge itself. My hand couldn't hold the whole burger and eat, it's just too huge. I have to cut it into half and half the half again in order to eat.

Burger taste good. It is still steaming hot when it is served, I mean the meat la... so everything taste very good. Further to it, they put on almost 1 full pack of cheese around the burger, that makes it even tastier!!!

At the beginning, everything goes well and I did enjoy my burger very much. Pack with everything I love!!! Before finishing my 1st 1/4 burger, I start to feel my stamoch is getting full. I did not expect to have this feeling so early... not at 1/4 on the burger.

My target was to finish at leasts half of the burger, but I totally under estimate the portion of this burger, how "heavy" it is!!! I surrender my challenge within 25 minutes. I know I could not take in anymore. Looking at the plate, I need to Ta Pao at least more than half of the burger home.

And for the rest of 3 days, we ate this for lunch and dinner. It took us 3 days to finish this burger. Definately need to stop awhile eating burger...Crazy Burger!!!!

So what did I do on "my" day???
Lately there is a trend of dining at Korea restaurant. I did not enjoy it because the Kimchi is just too smelly to eat...and it is cold....

Searching around and reading some review over the net (thanks to food blogger).... I notice Daorea Korean BBQ Restaurant might worth giving it a try.

Reataurant decor is pretty normal. Nothing much fancy to descript about it. When we arrive, the restaurant is pack!!! We waited for about 20 minutes for our seats.

We order 1 beef , 1 chicken BBQ and 1 small Korean style pizza, can't remember its actual name. While waiting, they start serving it typical korean appetizer to start your stomach. Some is nice, some okok....I still cannot enjoy Korean Kimchi no matter how I want to try it. It just some smell on this vegi....hiah....

Our meat is served by the waiter. They will cook it and cut it smaller piece for you. Quite good service and polite. The down side is the most of them looks like foreigner and they hardly understand well what we ask for sometime.

Overall it is something unique for me la...I still can't really enjoy Korean food. Probable it might be different if I had it in Korea itself. haha...

I had the best dream ever few days ago. In my dream, I am working at a Badminton Sports Shop and suddenly Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan came in into the shop and chit chating while cooling down.

They were there talking to each other and I am only steps away from both of them. However, it was just a dream, an exciting one...

Sigh, I have too much on badminton these days...even sleeping also thinking of playing like them though I know I will never reach that level...hiah....

Post 103: My Favourite Food # 4

One of my regular favourite is definately Curry Mee. (without tau geh - beansprout). I eat it whenever, wherever possible. Sometime I will need to stop eating it as it is too oily to eat too much.

Sea Park Curry Mee is particularly one of my favourite place to enjoy a good, hot, spicy Curry Mee. The Curry Mee here is not the nyonya type Curry Mee where they put it alot of coconut milk and slowly turns it become like source instead of soup.

As personal preference, I prefer to have Curry Mee soup instead of Curry Mee source. :P. Alot of places put it alot of coconut milk and yes, the aroma is great but I still prefer soup base.

Furthermore, fresh shellfish (Kerang) is added in too, my favourite!!! Normally they will put raw shellfish into the Curry Mee and mix it with the hot curry soup when serving. So, before you start eating it, you should mix around the Curry Mee and make sure all these shellfish in "tenggelam" at bottom. Eat those shellfish half cook, half raw....perfect!!!

Curry Mee here is not really cheap. Normal small bowl of curry mee will cost RM 4.50. Big bowl I am not sure...there is a reason...

Normal serving will only give chicken shread, too little to enjoy a good meal like this. I will order whole white chicken thigh, chopped to smaller piece and put it into my bowl. That is the right way to enjoy this kind of Curry Mee ma!!! Look at the picture, see also know it is good la!!!! XD and this is with a price tag of RM 8/bowl - as of June 2010...

Finally Starcraft II, Wings of Liberty, is launching - 27th July 2010. Is been so long waiting for this. I have been hearing about it long long time ago. Startcraft I, was launched about 12 years ago when me and my gang, (Juan, Szeat, Han Wen, Swee & etc) was so crazy about it, we play whole night out and gang bang each other with it!!!

Looking at the website, the graphic looks fantastic. Though can still recognised some familiar structure but surely it will have more features and new weapons to try on.

Time to get back to the old days guys!!! Let's bang again!!!

Post 101: My Favourite Food # 3

I never knew it is call Choong Kee Kampar Claypot rice when this store started long time ago. It was located at corner lot on the same row of shop, where we can still see uncle busying cooking rice using claypot with charcoal, moving the claypot around with 20 charcoal pot.

I knew it is very famous that time because day to day, there is always full house at the restaurant and people ta pao also need to que for it. Upon ordering, everyone need to wait at least 1/2 hour to 1 hour before the claypot is served. Business is very good!!!

This autie control the whole business flow. She'll take order, walk in or by call, arrange claypot delivery, giving order to kitchen and collect money. Piece of advice, don't mess with her, she know what you've order, sit tight and wait!!! :D

Obviously business is doing very well and they have their own shop now. I order a big bowl of claypot chicken rice, add salted fish, add chicken and add chinese sausage. I am loving!!!...see the picture, saliva already come out... :P My claypot chicken rice is pack!!!

They only served 1 type of Claypot Chicken Rice along with various type of soup and steam vegi. When serving in hot pot, salted fish blend perfectly with the whole pot and the aroma is fantastic.

Because it is very near to my mum's house, I come here quiet regularly. For 2 person, 1 big bowl of claypot chicken rice (with added stuff) and 1 steam soup is sufficient.

Price is ok la. Not to say very cheap or expensive. RM 20 for add chicken, add salted fish and add chinese sausage. haha...It just suite my taste.

I'm never a strong religious person. On standard requirement, I only pray twice a year, I know...I am not proud of it....

I had a Proton Wira Aerobeck 1.3cc back to younger times. It was 1 of the popular car selling around due to pricing. This car bring me to wherever I want to go: mamak, travel, kau liu...etc... It was great to have a car travelling around, especially in KL town when public transport is not so ....convenience??!!!

I have this car for about 5 years plus and during these period, I am greatful for what my dad did for me. However, maybe because of my less religious attitude, I had several accidents happen to me. Once happen near HELP Institute due to emergency stop from car in front. The car front total flat. Another incident in Taman Sea with Wen Feng while going Mount Kiara Coffee Bean for a drink. It was raining day and road was slippery. I made an emergency turn around 2 trees to avoid accident with a truck!!! These is 2 serious accidents happen I can remember, not including minor accidents happens on day to day... sigh....

Since all these bad luck, I need help... I have this "protector" hang in front of my car. Initially it is no harm trying attitude, "hang something is better then hanging nothing", those kind of thinking. I was very uneasy earlier to have it hanging inside my car. It feel like there is someone "watching" me when I am driving...

But now, I am so glad it keeps "watching" me. As time passes by, I notice there is changes. I am lucky enough to aviod few nearly accidents...Lucky!!! I have more confidence when driving with it. When I get my Waja, first thing I want is to put it on my car again!!! Relevant or not, it does makes me believe this "protector" is protecting me from accidents. I cannot explain how or why, but that is what I believe.

Counting the years, it must have been about 10 years plus now!!! Whether is it true or not true, real or not real, I still believe it does have an effect on me. This is what I believe....

Since young, I always have my favourite breakfast in this Makcik store. She made an extention outside of her house, allocate small area to preparing drink and a wooden table serving Nasi Lemak. Beside that wooden table, there is some light kiuh as well. She is there for almost 15 years or more. As for as I can remember, I am here since I am 13 years old. When I feel like eating Nasi Lemak at morning, I try drop by and get her steaming hot Nasi Lemak. For me, steaming hot Nasi Lemak is important.

During my school time, this store will open by 630 am and you can see alot of people ta pao before going off to work. There is not much of variety here. Simple dish like Fried Chicken, Rendang Chicken, Kerang, Sambal Sotong and others.

Rendang ayam taste fantastic, though it is abit oily, but its kuah mixing with Nasi Lemak makes it a perfect match!!! Similar when eating Nasi Minyak...

Karang is 1 of my favourite at all time, which is why i am a fan for Lok Lok also... :P.

Sambal sotong is an alternative as well when I don't feel like eating chicken. It is more spicier along with sambal which is why I prefer rendang chicken.

For 1 breakfast like this, it use to cost me about RM 3 - RM 3.50, that is about 10-15 years ago. Now Makcik is putting RM 5.00-RM 5.50 price tag on my favourite Nasi Lemak. I won't say it is cheap but for food that I love, it is ok... as long it is not everyday!!!

Steam Fish in Off Jalan Imbi. This is 1 of my favourite steam fish store in KL. It is located inside a food court and next to bus station.

It serve variety of taste: Assam 蒸, Nyonya 蒸, 清蒸，豆浆蒸 & etc...

One of my favourite: 姜蓉蒸。Can hardly find food store serve good 姜蓉蒸 beside my mum's cook. :P

The fish is cover heavily with ginger mix together with friend garlic & top with green onion. Talking and thinking about it already makes me hungry!!!!

This store only serve 1 type of fish: 松鱼, and the portion is enough for 2 persons. Price is very reasonable, average RM 21 per fish served.

Final MVP obviously is Kobe. Ron Artest had a very energetic and convincing performance on Games 7. When Boston leads from the beginning of the games, it was Ron Artest that came out and take charges of the games.

April 25th, 2010, me and primary school mate managed to organised a trip down to Ipoh to visit Sam Hah. Since I am going to Ipoh, surely I do not want to miss the opportunity to catch back good food in Ipoh.

I departed from Subang about 430am and arrive Ipoh slightly before 7am.

I have been hearing so many good comments from friends at time to time, saying how good dim sum served in this restaurant. I never try it before, until now...

The restaurant is totally different from what I expected it will be, I always though it is something like SS2 or Taman Megah dim sum but when arrive there, thes restaurant is like a 5 start restaurant. Good lighting, good furniture and everyone looks professional. This place is more like tourism spot then a dim sum restaurant.

We ordered few dim sum, tried it. Honestly speaking, it taste ok, but it is just not a good as I though it could be. Just normal loh...but 1 true thing about it, it is really cheap. Our bill came about RM 60 for 4 persons.

Even with full stomach, we insist to try local famous coffee. I am not really a coffee adict but this does taste good... :D

Once everyone arrive, immediately we went to this Pak Kong Chicken Rice shop, which highly reconmended by Moon. The restaurant located at a traditional shoplot. It really have the feeling of old style restaurant back in 70-80's.

When we arrive, there was a long que outside of the restaurant. The chicken rice smells goods and garlic chilis is good too!!!

All these happen in 1 morning at Ipoh and it was really full to the top. I do enjoy eating alot but 3 in 1 morning required a bigger tangki to fill it!!! :D

Recently, Michelin had a road show at Sunway Pyramid promoting its new range of tyre, PS3. Not Play Station 3 la, is Pilot Sport 3.

It was a great road show, well at least for me, as they are giving out free Michelin voucher when purchasing and my car is ready to have tyre change...again...

Since it was a Sunday and there is nothing much to do, I call up Melvin and we did a double date. Try our luck to get as many voucher as possible.

1 of the highlight is Sumo Wrestling ( that's how i call it la) where we are ask to push the evil fuel pump out of the square matt floor. The fastest contestant can win an ipod. I had try my best!!! This evil fuel pump is just too strong for me... :D

So this girl, Moon, at 1.74 m height, 60 kg weight, give her best try to win over this evil fuel pump. Obviously no one will think she can do it because it is simply impossible....

But it turns out to be opposite. She won it by pushing it out at the shortess time. This evil fuel pump also have gender bias.... XD.

Moon won an Apple Ipod Touch for free this weekend and glad she is happy about it. I have been hearing from her about it since 2 weeks ago, telling me how glad it can be if can get it free from Michelin roadshow. So, this weekend, Mission Accomplish...got free voucher and free Ipod Touch.

And so, 2010 Thomas Cup belongs to China!!! Yes, I must agree, China Badminton team is the strongest among others country. I believe out of 5 games, they can win 4!!!

Lin Dan is superb!!! I watch that game live when he played with Lee Chong Wei. Personally, I think Lee CW is trying to create opportunity for himself. This could be his strategy to beat Lin Dan. He seldom make strong smash when there is high shot. I feel he is trying to stratch Lin Dan for return and prepare for a counter attack.

Lin Dan is everywhere and every shot Lee CW create to beat Lin Dan, some how some way, Lin Dan is able to counter it. He is fast, powerful and very flexible. Every shot look so simple from him.

I feel Lee CW did his best la...at least he try, it just the matter he fail when trying...Lin Dan is too dam good to beat...Taufik is right, if you want to win Lin Dan, probable will need to wait until he is old... :D

2nd match on double is also very intereting match. I feel their defense is really good. No matter how strong oppenant can smash, these 2 guys can really control well returning it. Yes, of course, they made mistake, but I take that as the risk of moving to the net and intercept shot. If KKK could intercept it without mistake, I am sure everyone will praise him for what he had done!!!

Though it is a dissapointing result, but it is never the end. As a Malaysian, I support Malaysia Badminton team all the way. As quote"Many of life's failures are men who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up." - Malaysia Badminton, Don't give up !!! Malaysian, you should not give up too!!!

Have a friendly badminton match today at Ara Badminton Court. I am partnering with Ah Juun to play on 1st match.

It was really a challenging match. Our oppenant is really fast. They are younger, stronger and faster... We change our tactic to play agaist them.

Starting to understand the game now. When opponent is faster, we slow them down. When opponent is power smasher, we lower our shot and not creating any opportunity for them.

We won the match because we make less mistake. We were more stable and having more control agaist our opponent.

Maybe this should be the right way of handling badminton game ar....

A lesson learned today... :D

It is really a stiff racquet. It is heavier and slower when I am using it. Still trying to adjust my play to suite the racquet.

I am really in the dilema now. I love to have this racquet as one of my collection but spending few hundred ringgit for this racquet does not improving my game at all, so should I get one for myself? why should I get it if it does not suite me? hiazzz...

Last Saturday, (10th April 2010), I had dinner in this restaurant, Restoran Boston Baru and honestly, it is really a new dining experience. :D

This place is famous with its La La soup and Lai Lui Har. Gladly we go and when we reach, there isn't any available seats for us... ok, let me elaborate further here...there are seat along the street in front of this shop...so there is plenty of tables and seat but sadly, it is all occupied, inside out. The second crazy thing is, we arrive this restaurant at 930pm and there is 7-8 customers standing in front of this restaurant still. Just realise that there is alot of people start thier dinner at 930pm onward...!!! !@#$%

We ordered about 5 dishes, for 3 persons, and it is really too much, because we are only 1 guy and 2 girls... each dish is served at pretty big portion too...

Of course 1 of it is the Steam La La soup. I think it is better than La La Cheong restaurant. They put in enough white wine to make the soup taste great!!!

This is another famous dish too. According to Jenny, our tour guide, the mee is actually made of yam powder and fried it like Hokkien mee. This taste pretty good when it is hot. The mee texture is very chewy.

Hokkien Mee, not bad too...

This is one of my favourite, 麦片LaiLiuHar. It is great especially when it is warm. Crispy and strong butter taste too, I love this....

菜埔蒸鱼. They put alot of 菜埔 on top of the fish and strong wine taste. I love this too....:D

We start ordering all these food before we get our seats and since then, it is really a long wait... for 1.5 hours to be served!!!!, so dinner actually start about 11pm You can see alot of customer diam diam sitting and waiting, some chit chat, some even bring Rami play card playing while waiting. We spend about RM 82 for dinner, which I think is very reasonable!!! Luciky the food taste good, if not....I want to burn down the shop liaw...

This is where I hang out for drink most of the time...Tea Time Restaurant...

As how the restaurant define it, time for drinking tea, time to relax.... :p....I use to go William mamak, I think now is name as William Cafe, but food are rather expensive now there...so me and most of my friend switch to this place....Actually it is only 5 minutes walk away from William Cafe.
It is a very simple place for friends to hang out with. Sit there and chit chat. When there is big football matches, this place will be full of spectators, supporting thier favourite ball club. There are small store selling simple Chee Cheong Fun, Pan Mee, Bak Kut Teh....etc....enough for normal dinning....and is much much cheaper compare to William....at least when you spend RM 10 here, it is sufficient...

When I was younger, I use to be here for almost 4-5 days a week. What do we do here??? Drink, Eat, Blow Water, sharing and gather for mahjong later....!!! hahahaha...After mahjong, back here relax mind awhile and go back for mahjong again for 2nd round.

Those were the days.... !!!

Lately been very tired. I have a surprise visit from business associates from India who they come to Malaysia. It was a good surprise because we manage to close the deal. We have alot of drinking and lots of eating for the past few days. 1 lessons learn...never drink with India Indian!!!!... They know how to drink...Malaysian just drink...there is a different...

As I am still accompany my India indian friend around KL, our Thailand friend said he want to drop by as well on the same week unexpected. So again, it is also another good surprise because we manage to close it with them and everyone is happy.

All these happen in 1 week time. Though it is tiring, but I must admit, this is a good way of getting tired on it. As long the figure come in... :D

Is been long long while since I really sit down at mamak store and drink, chat with my old old buddy, Hou Cher, Wen Feng, Melvin, Seng...all of them....really need to catch up again with them soon...

Post 74: We are back!!!

Early last year, Ben and I was talking to gather back everyone who we play basketball together and play back. It was a great success because it last for about 6 month, or maybe more...

Gradually, it slow down as everyone is busying with, either, work, family or dinner, specially getting closer to year end and Chinese New Year. Personally, I stop going since last year, can't even remember why I stop... but I did... :P

Now, 2010 March, WE ARE BACK!!!

Obviously playing here is not about competition or any training. It is purely for leisure, sport and socializing. Everyone here try to enjoy the game, playing friendly and appreciate time spend together. It was a good way to keep in touch with friend...at least it works for me!!!

Of course trash talking is definately a must here...We talk so much trash, so many jokes and make so much noise on court!!! I think surrounded housing area will hear what we have spoke about all night long!!! talk and talk and talk...none stop!!!

We had about 15 friends came last night. This is a surprising figure for me as I was expecting 10+ only. Glad everyone can make it. Even Yung Sheng did came and play for awhile. (Tiger long long also need one time lah!!! ) Still there is more yet to come!!! Let just hope this will continue as long as it can.

Speaking of proper dreassing, let our model "demostrate" here... XD

This is the primary school I study in when I was 7 years old. Spend 6 years there and keep bullying all the smaller size boys... :P

Lately, everyone from different classes gathering around for reunion. To count years we leave the school, it is almost 25 years now and some of them is really long long lost schoolmates.

We had our first started gathering at Village Steambost in Damansara. 10 of us attend that dinner. We chat, talk, and laugh alot that night. You can hear lot of funny stories!!! Especially from Yee Hau!!!

2nd gathering is held in Canton Fare in Solaris and drinking in MichealAngelo nearby. At this time, I manage to get contact back with my best friend in primary school. You know lah, when everyone is young, there is alot of best friend who you always hang out with, talk with and play with...Chin Kong is the person for me...

Now, thanks to Fern Fern and Pooi San initiative, Yuk Chai for 1990 started. As of March, we have keep in touch with 60 over schoolmate and still increasing...

There is a joke along. When someone ask you "Where are you going tonight?" and you replied, " I have a primary schoolmate gathering. We will have dinner and drinking tonight.". "Huh???!!!! you still contact with primary school mate????"..... that is what we did last night... Next week 14th will be another one...hope to meet back more friends....

On 15th Day of CNY, it is no longer my interest to go any sea side or lake to see everyone throughing oranges, thanks to my dad, I still have something at home to celebrate with... :P

I never did this before. Just watch others releasing long time ago in Klang and it turns out to be pretty simple to fly a 孔明灯.

It is not expensive as well as it is made out of thin paper and few sticks of woods. The lantern need to be as light as possible so it can fly up easier.

Once candle below is up, wait for couple minutes to burn hot air inside and it will move up forward...

Can you remember when is your last time playing with fly kite?

Is been so long since I played this game. The feeling is like 7 or 8 years old behind Kelana Jaya old house padang and I actually fell down while running with it...

I had one when in Kelantan this year. When I saw some van is selling it, I did not hesitate at all to buy one and fly it under the hot sun. Anyway, it's only cost me RM 5/pc so ....what the heck...

It was really a hot sun that day and I can hardly open my eye looking at the kite... still it is a memorable things I want to recap for awhile during this holiday.

Doing this on the sea side is really not that bad. You can still get some strong wind occasionally to cool down and flying kite on beach side is extreamly easy due to strong wind.

and at the end of it, try take a coconut drink on the beach side...grab some snack... sit back and relax...

Life can be so good....simple and enjoyable...most importantly...it is cheap!!!

Post 67: Waterfall

While going back to Paka hometown during this year CNY, i sneak out and explore further on town Paka, see what is there around this town have as holiday spot.

Thanks to a group of friends meet at the Chemurong Waterfall, they brough me into deep forest and it takes about 1 hour walk to reach top to see this magnificant waterfall...it is a giant waterfall.

As the stone is very slippery , it takes extra care to go into the waterfall to enjoy cooling water. But it worth every moment we suffer to get here. This waterfall have great spot to relax and enjoy natural beauty.

It actually take 1 hour ride from Paka town to main entrance to Chemurong, 1 hour walk in the forest before arrive to this waterfall. It is a tired trip, especially walking in the forest, so definately need to prepare well before walking into it.

Glad I did it and surely will come back again!!!

Post 66: 2010 Chinese New Year

Paka, a small fish village town 1/2 hours away from Kijal, 1 hour away from Kemaman & 4 hours drive from KL. Not much of development in this small town but surely it is one of my fovourite place for sleep and relax. In here, there is no hypermarket, no cinema and no shopping center at all!!!

For a city boy like me, resting at the beach side is my favourite as there is none in KL. Sit down on sand, enjoy sea breeze, sea wind blowing and clear my mind for awhile... It is one of the best reflexilogy for me!!!

Paka alone will give you 2 good spots for beach side. One along the town and another is Pantai Kemasik. These 2 beaches is most regular beach side I visit when I am back there for holidays. At Pantai Kemasik, local government had build some infra structure for camping or BBQ. So there is slightly more visitor there as compare to the Paka beach side.

Another nearby beach side is in Kemaman, Kuala Beach Side. Obviously all these beach side will be much cleaner, and more natural, as it is still not so commerciallize comparing with others. Furthermore, along the sea coast, there is few wooden restaurant set up serving local delights. So while you sit down and enjoying sea view, you can still order ABC & Keropok Lekor to try.

One of my favourite food in Paka in Nasi Minyak served with Chicken Rendang. It is consider a very oily food but I think good food normally not healthy food, right??!!! :P

This is Keropok Lekor and it is best eat when hot. Looks can be pretty ugly but taste is fantastic!!!

Satar. I am not sure what is the meat use for this but it does taste good for me too. I can eat this 10-20 pc, easily. Each very small piece only.

Can remember what is the name for this but it is also another local food. It is like Chee Cheong Fun serving with coconut milk with sambal belacan. By reading description, it is totally the wrong food combination but this is actually my mum's favourite food and I think is most Pakaians favourite food too. :D

It is a great getaway place for mind clearing and relax. Getting away from city life, away from traffic jam and away from daily hassel. As the normal Chinese said: Resting is for walking further!!!

Finally...after talking so long and price surveying for so long, I finally bought the camera!!!

Canon IXUS 120 IS.

Last week i had a pre try from Pooi San. She bough the same camera and immediately I love it. Looks is great and the picture looks really sharp and nice.

Another important feature of this camera is it have HDMI video which can record very clear and nice movie.

I am going to fully utilise this camera on this new year.

I love Pineapple Tart...Fuuny thing is, this kind of delicious cookies can only available during Chinese New Year.

On normal days of the year, hardly can see any where selling this cookies. This year, I know where I can get it... XD

Is been really a tiring process preparing pineapple tart where powder need to be mix well, pineapple jam need to be porpotionate, must watch closely with the baking timing...etc...alot of work.

Everything start about 12pm and manage to finish it at 9pm night. Full 9 hours...tired....but the result is pretty satisfying...

The pineapple tart taste good. Texture is nice, butter smell goods!!! and best is...she is selling, earning extra income for Chinese New Year!!!

My mum on Astro TV show!!!

What a great surprises when I receive call from Astro saying they are interested to do an interview with my mum by Choi Ling, one of the popular celebrity in Malaysia on her 一日五餐 show.

They were doing interview, introducing our store and indirectly, promoting our store to everywhere in Malaysia. Mum, of course, very happy about it and it is really great to know people are appreciating what my mum store can offer now.

Of course the main "star" will be our famous Kuih Bakul, which invented by my dad long long time ago. Sorry...I miss out 1 point, our store had been in SS2 for the past 20 over years. I remember after that day, my mum was saying to us, Choi Ling can talk really fast and can talk for very long...hahahaha...of course lah...people are professional leh...dun play play!!!

2nd of course is the Goreng Pisang Raja. there is others as well, example: Ubi Kayu, Bola Ubi Kayu, Popiah, Cucuk Udang, Yam, Sweet Potato, Kuih Kodok and many other lah!!!

If you ever feel super hungry or feeling like eating the whole cow, you should try go Chili's!!!

Me and few of my "old friend" had a small gathering couple weeks back in Chilli's. Andy, Corra, Pooi San, Mandy, Wen Feng and of course, me and my bulan....

I think we order too much...each person order it's own dish...that should be very normal ordering practice...but there is a problem with it...

Chili's serve each dish at a very huge portion. I think they serve it at American standard...all big and huge, furthermore, with cheese as well...so, typically, Malaysian girls will surely cannot finish it. So end up, we guys will need to try finish as many as possible!!! :D...Good is I can still try other dishes but it is really too much for my stomach!!!!

Yet, it is still a very memorable gathering. I have not meet up with Andy, Corra, Mandy for many many months. Everyone have more commitment now and is hard to arrange timing where everyone is ok to meet up. So when we were there, we chat, talk, eat, laugh....just try to catch back some old time and know everyone is healthy and ok...

Is been a tiring for these couple of week. To be exact, it started since new year eve. Moon is affected by Denggi. Initially, we though it was just normal fever but she is not improving after 3-4 days sleeping at home. After numerous persuation, finally she willingly to be admited to hospital.

Fever since New Year eve, admited hospital on 5th January 2010, discharges from hospital on 13th January 2010. What a start for 2010..... kns....

Actually she still feel dizzy now and need alot of sleep. Body is still very weak even walking will cause her breathing strong... but the denggi is over and now is just to have the body back strong again.

Just hope she will get well soon and not fall into sick anymore....GAMBATEH!!!

This is Ms. Ang Pooi San...and 7th January 19xx is the day she landed on earth...

She was my monitor when we were in primary school for same class. Well, sad to say it, but she is one of the oldest friend i had and still keep in touch with...

We celebrate her birthday in Bubba Gump Restaurant @ The Curve...something relate this restaurant with Tom Hanks Forest Gump which I have yet to understand...

This is Ah Mok, I think most people call him Roy Mok. We were classmate till 12 years old and since then, we are MIA...but gladly, can catch back with him now here!!!

This is my "walaueh" hand sigh!!!...not sure what we were laughing at...

We had a great time dinner there...chatting around...thanks for Ah Mok...really a social guy...

It was send to office and I am as surprise as my colleague as we do not expect to receive any invitation card in office!!!

11. Start playing basketball again on every Tuesday night at Taman Megah.

12. Start playing Mahjong again after stop for awhile.

This month, December 2009 is really a holiday mood month. There is public holidays on almost every Fridays, first was Selangor Sultan Birthday, then Awal Muharam, both falls on Friday.

Then Christmas and New Year 2010 will be on Friday too. 4 consecutive Friday with holidays...it is really good to have so many holidays, especially it is fall on Friday...but...

I NEED TO WORK HALF DAY ON SATURDAY LEH!!!!! SIEN AR.....

Post 43: Standard Procedure.

It is not hard to notice, most couple, before marriage, will have similar activities on daily basis. Of course, this activities is suppose to allow you to understand better who is your partner, how is her attitude, what is her lifestyle....etc....

1st: Food....it does not matter what kind of food. Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Desert, Tea Break, Dinner or Supper, surely every couple will have meals together. Of course, guys normally get the honor to think where to eat, but at the end of the discussion, girls will tell you what they actually want to eat...it is a procedure!!! So please get use to it...

2nd: Shopping....There is so many megamall in town, especially when someone is living in Selangor/Kuala Lumpur. Mid Valley, 1 Utama, Sunway Pyramid, The Garden, Robinson, Times Square...many many more!!!

Sure couples will end up shopping in these places, whether real shop or window shop, that is another issue. As usual, guys accompany the gal, carry things for them, walk with them. Sometime give some opinion to make her feel more confortable before purchasing anything. That is also another standard procedure.

3rd: Movie: GSC, TGV is everywhere, mostly at mall and it is very convenience as well. I will consider it as the best activities for me as I can do my "duty" as a bf (boyfriend) and at the same time enjoying movies that I like!!! XD ...Like what chinese people like to say: one stone two birds. In English speaking is: win win situation!!!

Of course there is still other things couples can do beside what mention above. These I will consider it as "Bonus", some which does not do regularly.

Travelling: Travelling is fun, really fun. Getting together, stay together for the next few days. Things could probably become better because of it. Because it is consider as "Bonus", normally it make both couples a very happy person, disregard how much guys "might" need to spend on that travel holiday.... :p

Festive Celebration: Valentine Day and Birthday is the most important 2 days that every guys should not miss. If you can remember more "important" date, you might have score some extra point in that relationship, like; First Kiss Date, First Date Date, First Travelling Date, Relationship Start Date, as long is the first date of everything which you could remember...Life become better because of it... honestly!!!!

Well...not to say I am complaining anything here but just though of sharing it out what couples might do during this period of time. Hope you like it... :D

For the record, Ramin is the class name that I am in during 1995/96, where I was doing Form 4/5 in SMDJ (Sekolah Menengah Damansara Jaya). It was because of this class, school become more interesting during those 2 years.

Class Ramin 95/96. It is a sub-sains class where it does not have Biology but it is substitute with Additional Math. In this class, there are few genuis in Maths that make Maths looks so easier. Maybe because of this friendly help among each other, everyone become more socialize. Since then, school become much different...
First is the Ramin logo. We start to design for our class logo. Come one, honestly, how many people have a class logo??!!! you might have company logo, car logo, shirt logo but no way, a class logo!!

Thanks to this man here, Mr. Cheah Wye Luon. He is the main person designing for the logo during our Form 5 and our 10th year reunion gathering back 2-3 years ago. Not to miss out the 1 and only Ramin T-shirt with everyone name's printed at the back of the T-shirt!!! (I lost that shirt long time ago!!! sigh...)

We hang out alot!! ! really alot. Birthday, BBQ, yam cha, disco, food, travelling.....almost everything possible.

This photo is celebration of Kwai Ling birthday and we were powdering her in front of Yih Chwin house's padang.

This one I think is Hui Fern birthday or Pei Sing birthday where we celebrate it in Wye Luon house top floor. It is one of the earlier period I start drinking alcohol. Still remember Wye Luon and Andy drink quite alot and both gone abit siaw liaw!!! 360 degree spinning and jumping around!!! :D

This is the 10th year reunion gathering we had, couple years back, in Bangsar Tea House. A very nice and cooling place and the food is good. Feel more exclusive and have more space for our own. Hou Cher was very generous to contribute Raminian Reunion batches and notebook. Not the computer "notebook" notebook but normal writting pad notebook. These are just small moment we had, too bad most of the photo I had are in hardcopy (those time still don't have digital camera), will need time to scan all of them if were to post it here...still memories are good and I appreciate the friendship I've gain....Sometime, it 's just sad to know everyone need to grow up and move on with life...Nothing stay the same forever...That's the reality of life!!!
